Boost Your SEO Using Infographics

Did you know that you can improve your SEO by using infographics? Yes, this is possible.
As a matter of fact, many websites–including our own–also use infographics to build links and increase brand awareness.
Don’t believe me? I’ll give you a real-life example.
Here’s an infographic our design team created on behalf of digital marketing influencer, Barry Feldman. This was originally published on the Content Marketing Institute website. It is an excellent SEO checklist written by Barry, right?
21 POINT SEO BLOG POST CHECKLIST
As part of the SEO team, one of my tasks is to share our design team’s infographics with other website owners and bloggers. My goal is to see if they find the infographic worth sharing with their own audiences.
I emailed the 21-Point SEO Checklist Infographic to hundreds of websites. Do you know how many were interested in publishing it on their blogs, with backlinks to our website? Six, and all were quality, high domain authority backlinks. These were additional links on top of the original post.
Try googling it to see for yourself. There might even be more than the six I proactively placed.
If you think about it, six backlinks may not be a lot on face value, especially if you don’t want to wait to see results and boost your Google rank. However, nothing’s worse than zero backlinks. Acquiring quality backlinks is one of the safest and most effective ways to improve your SEO.
The point of this: using infographics for SEO purposes actually works. Hopefully this example gives you an idea of how you can do it on your own.
If you want to go down this path with infographics, here’s a handy 10-step infographic guide made by Visme that will help you launch a successful “guestographic.”
10 small things that can make a big difference
Remember to track results from your efforts, and also to experiment with different ideas. You will have to tweak things along the way.
The most important objective is for you to figure out what ideas work for you as you measure these results. You’ll never know what will do the best until you test it. One small change can bring you big results.
