Prince Harry Interviews Barack Obama and They Can't Help But Joke Around: Watch!
By
Prince Harry couldn't help but admit to Barack Obama that he was "nervous" to interview the former president, as the two prepared for an upcoming BBC News Radio piece.
In an Instagram video posted by Kensington Palace on Sunday, the pair is seen setting up for the interview and trading jokes. Prince Harry tells Obama to avoid long pauses in their interview, under the threat of seeing "the face."
"Let me see the face," Obama says, as Prince Harry jokingly glares back at him. "I don't want to see that face."
The interview, which will air after Christmas on BBC News Radio 4, is expected to touch on the next generation of leaders, Obama's memories of leaving the presidency and his hopes for the future.
Obama and Prince Harry aren't exactly strangers. They shared courtside seats in September at the Invictus Games wheelchair basketball tournament in Toronto, Canada. And in October, Prince Harry dropped by a Chicago high school to help Michelle Obama surprise students and talk about the importance of young people being hopeful and engaged in society.
But despite that familiarity (and a completely loose and relaxed Obama), Prince Harry joked that he wasn't fully sure of himself in the interview.
"I'm nervous about this," he says with a smile.
"It's fun. I'll interview you, if you want," Obama says.
"No no," Prince Harry quickly responds. "Let's keep it this way, I'd much prefer that."
At the Invictus Games in September, Harry held hands with his now fiancee, Meghan Markle, putting royal fans in a frenzy.
