<div style="background: 0px 0px; border: 0px; font-family: Raleway, sans-serif; margin-bottom: 22px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
So you finally want to join the blogging community. Well by reading this article you’ll have taken the biggest step to <a href="https://makeawebsitehub.com/how-to-start-a-blog/" style="background: 0px 0px; border: 0px; color: #25afea; margin: 0px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; text-decoration-line: none; vertical-align: baseline;">starting a blog</a> that can create an income for you and your family.</div>
<div style="background: 0px 0px; border: 0px; font-family: Raleway, sans-serif; margin-bottom: 22px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
I have been blogging as my main source of income for the past 8 years. It has been a long hard slog ( <a href="https://makeawebsitehub.com/make-money-online-at-home/" style="background: 0px 0px; border: 0px; color: #25afea; margin: 0px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; text-decoration-line: none; vertical-align: baseline;">making money online</a> is hard ) but in the past few years I have managed to launch successful blog after successful blog which have meant that I can quit the 9-5 and spend more time with my family & start building a lifestyle I am happy with.</div>
<div style="background: 0px 0px; border: 0px; font-family: Raleway, sans-serif; margin-bottom: 22px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
Don’t get me wrong I have made many mistakes along the way but once I knew what I was doing it became a lot easier and more enjoyable. Many of my friends have emailed me or called me to find out more about “What Jamie Does”, but it can be a little hard to sink in at first as to how you can actually make a real income from running a successful blog(s). Therefore I have decided to create this guide for my friends, family, email subscribers and anyone else who wants to start doing “What Jamie Does”.</div>
<div style="background: 0px 0px; border: 0px; font-family: Raleway, sans-serif; margin-bottom: 22px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
This guide to making a money making blog is completely free. I don’t want anything for it – just for you to take action and do it, so many of my friends would love to do it but give up too soon, often when their big breakthrough might only be a few weeks away.</div>
<div style="background: 0px 0px; border: 0px; font-family: Raleway, sans-serif; margin-bottom: 22px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
The guide is quite long and there are lots of links to other pages on this blog and on other blogs too which will help you – so please make sure to bookmark this page.</div>
<div style="background: 0px 0px; border: 0px; font-family: Raleway, sans-serif; margin-bottom: 22px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
I hope you find it as enjoyable as I did writing it.</div>
<div style="background: 0px 0px; border: 0px; font-family: Raleway, sans-serif; margin-bottom: 22px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
<br /></div>
<h2 style="background: 0px 0px; border: 0px; color: #7f7f7f; font-family: Raleway, sans-serif; font-size: 24px; letter-spacing: 1px; line-height: 1.38462em; margin: 0px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; text-align: center; text-transform: uppercase; vertical-align: baseline;">
HOW MUCH CAN YOU EARN BLOGGING?</h2>
<div style="background: 0px 0px; border: 0px; font-family: Raleway, sans-serif; margin-bottom: 22px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
<br /></div>
<div style="background: 0px 0px; border: 0px; font-family: Raleway, sans-serif; margin-bottom: 22px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
Whether you’re looking to supplement your income with a little extra to pay for a few nice treats or create a blog that will support your lifestyle then you can pretty much make as much money as you like from blogging if you are prepared to put in the hard work.</div>
<div style="background: 0px 0px; border: 0px; font-family: Raleway, sans-serif; margin-bottom: 22px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
There are lots of great stories out there of successful bloggers who make money blogging:</div>
<div style="background: 0px 0px; border: 0px; font-family: Raleway, sans-serif; margin-bottom: 22px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
For example over the past couple of years, husband and wife team, Bjork and Lindsay at PinchofYum.com, a food and recipe blog, have built up a huge following and some months they <strong style="background: 0px 0px; border: 0px; margin: 0px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">have made nearly $25k.</strong></div>
<div style="background: 0px 0px; border: 0px; font-family: Raleway, sans-serif; margin-bottom: 22px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
Another blogging couple, Yeison and Samantha, who run mytanfeet.com are <strong style="background: 0px 0px; border: 0px; margin: 0px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">making over $5k per month</strong> while they travel the world and share their photos and stories on their blog.</div>
<div style="background: 0px 0px; border: 0px; font-family: Raleway, sans-serif; margin-bottom: 22px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
I’m not going to lie to you but it can take months even years before you might see a significant return on the time you invest in to starting a blog but that is why I have created this free guide so that you can be confident in taking the right steps to achieving your blogging goals.</div>
<div style="background: 0px 0px; border: 0px; font-family: Raleway, sans-serif; margin-bottom: 22px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
So let’s continue…</div>
<div style="background: 0px 0px; border: 0px; font-family: Raleway, sans-serif; margin-bottom: 22px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
<br /></div>
<h2 style="background: 0px 0px; border: 0px; color: #7f7f7f; font-family: Raleway, sans-serif; font-size: 24px; letter-spacing: 1px; line-height: 1.38462em; margin: 0px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; text-align: center; text-transform: uppercase; vertical-align: baseline;">
HOW TO PICK A PROFITABLE BLOG NICHE</h2>
<div style="background: 0px 0px; border: 0px; font-family: Raleway, sans-serif; margin-bottom: 22px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
<br /></div>
<div style="background: 0px 0px; border: 0px; font-family: Raleway, sans-serif; margin-bottom: 22px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
This is the most critical step. <strong style="background: 0px 0px; border: 0px; margin: 0px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">Seriously.</strong></div>
<div style="background: 0px 0px; border: 0px; font-family: Raleway, sans-serif; margin-bottom: 22px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
There is no point in starting a blog that you want to make money from without a plan. There are thousands, even hundreds of niches out there. Some are broad and huge; some are small and virtually unknown. Some niches are easier to make money in than others.</div>
<div style="background: 0px 0px; border: 0px; font-family: Raleway, sans-serif; margin-bottom: 22px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
<strong style="background: 0px 0px; border: 0px; margin: 0px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">This is why your research is important.</strong></div>
<div style="background: 0px 0px; border: 0px; font-family: Raleway, sans-serif; margin-bottom: 22px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
A good place to start when you are picking a niche is to look at your own interests in Google.</div>
<div style="background: 0px 0px; border: 0px; font-family: Raleway, sans-serif; margin-bottom: 22px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
For example I really launched a blog in the survivalist niche a couple of years ago which I sold for a great profit. The reason I created this blog was that I enjoy being outdoors, hiking and mountain biking etc. I also watch a lot of TV shows about people like Bear Grylls and Ray Mears.</div>
<div style="background: 0px 0px; border: 0px; font-family: Raleway, sans-serif; margin-bottom: 22px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
<strong style="background: 0px 0px; border: 0px; margin: 0px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">I’m no expert but it’s something I like.</strong></div>
<div style="background: 0px 0px; border: 0px; font-family: Raleway, sans-serif; margin-bottom: 22px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
One area I never really got into with my survivalist blog and wanted to was Everyday Carry. Most people will have never heard of this concept but it really is an interesting sub-niche with in this niche. Everyday Carry is basically any items you can’t leave the house with.</div>
<div style="background: 0px 0px; border: 0px; font-family: Raleway, sans-serif; margin-bottom: 22px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
For most of us this will be our wallet, phone & keys – and in the summer months hopefully some sunglasses :).</div>
<div style="background: 0px 0px; border: 0px; font-family: Raleway, sans-serif; margin-bottom: 22px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
If you travel a lot for work you may have a <a href="https://makeawebsitehub.com/best-laptops-programming/" style="background: 0px 0px; border: 0px; color: #25afea; margin: 0px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; text-decoration-line: none; vertical-align: baseline;">laptop</a> or tablet with you.</div>
<div style="background: 0px 0px; border: 0px; font-family: Raleway, sans-serif; margin-bottom: 22px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
If you work on a construction site you may have a tool belt.</div>
<div style="background: 0px 0px; border: 0px; font-family: Raleway, sans-serif; margin-bottom: 22px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
However for many people who are always prepared everyday carry is about having everything you might need in an emergency or for general use on you at all times. This will often include a light source (torch), a pocket knife, some small tools & rope it’s quite amazing how easy it is to carry all these things with you in your pockets, on your keys or in a small bag.</div>

<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">OK, so this is one hell of an article I’ve been waiting to write for a long time. I didn’t, because when I was about to, Facebook decided to change a lot of things in their algorithm and the whole strategy changed.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">This still works and it has changed a little, but you can still make a lot of money and bank hard if you have the budget. I was making from $100 to $350 PER DAY back in 2013 with this whole strategy, and even though it might take more budget now to start, you can still make more than $5-10k per month with this strategy.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">In fact, I know some people earning more than $100,000 per month with this and the good things is you can have it as a side business, 100% automated and making money for you. I’ll keep this post updated in case this changes, but I’m sure it still works in july 2014. The faster you start, the better.</span></div>
<h2 style="box-sizing: inherit; font-size: 3rem; line-height: 1.2; margin: 30px 0px 10px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Things you need</span></h2>
<ul style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px 0px 28px 40px; padding: 0px;">
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; list-style-type: disc;"><span style="background-color: black; color: white;">A Website with a VPS or Dedicated server (I recommend Vultr. <a href="http://www.vultr.com/?ref=6879905" style="box-sizing: inherit; transition: all 0.1s ease-in-out;" target="_blank">CLICK HERE TO GET IT FOR $5 PER MONTH</a>)</span></li>
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; list-style-type: disc;"><span style="background-color: black; color: white;">An Adsense account at the beginning, and later an account with a CPM/CPA advertising company</span></li>
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; list-style-type: disc;"><span style="background-color: black; color: white;">A Facebook Ads account with credit card or Paypal</span></li>
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; list-style-type: disc;"><span style="background-color: black; color: white;">A Facebook Fan Page and some budget to start. I’d recommend $500 at least. $1,000 – $1,500 per month would be perfect.</span></li>
</ul>
<h2 style="box-sizing: inherit; font-size: 3rem; line-height: 1.2; margin: 30px 0px 10px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">How does it work?</span></h2>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">The concept is simple, but it’s not as easy as it sounds. Basically, what you’re going to do is to create a viral news website with a basic WordPress installation and send a ton of traffic to it.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">How much traffic? Thousands of visitors per day. As much as your budget allows you. Some people send more than 1 million visitors to their website PER DAY. But you don’t need that much. Start with 1k per day and then aim for 5k, 20k and keep growing.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Lastly, the idea is that you generate great (but simple) articles with viral images, videos or stories, and make them go viral with Facebook. When the people visit your blog, they’ll find Google Adsense’s ads and you’ll earn money from the clicks you receive.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">I recommend Adsense because the Ads will be totally irrelevant if you use almost any other CPC network, but if Adsense is out of your options for any reasons, try Adversal from this alternatives article.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Sooner or later, you’ll want to move to a CPM based network, but you’ll need at least half a million visits per month to move to the next level. So don’t worry just yet.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">I recently explained the reason why Google Adsense <a href="http://www.stream-seo.com/no-adsense-make-money/" style="box-sizing: inherit; transition: all 0.1s ease-in-out;" target="_blank" title="You don’t need Adsense to Make Money">beats almost any other alternative</a>, especially if your traffic isn’t organic (i.e. not from search queries). Because we’re going to send a chunk of traffic directly from Facebook, we want somewhat relevant ads even if they’re not coming from search engines, and you know… Google controls a good part of your life, so they can serve decent ads to your audience even if they come from Social Media sites <img alt="🙂" class="emoji" draggable="false" src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/2.4/svg/1f642.svg" style="background-attachment: initial !important; background-clip: initial !important; background-image: none !important; background-origin: initial !important; background-position: initial !important; background-repeat: initial !important; background-size: initial !important; border: none !important; box-shadow: none !important; box-sizing: inherit; display: inline !important; height: 1em !important; margin: 0px 0.07em !important; max-width: 100%; padding: 0px !important; vertical-align: -0.1em !important; width: 1em !important;" /></span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Here’s a screenshot of one of my best days. Check where most of my traffic was coming from:</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<a href="http://www.stream-seo.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/facebook-viral-traffic.png" style="box-sizing: inherit; transition: all 0.1s ease-in-out;"><span style="background-color: black; color: white;"><img alt="facebook viral traffic" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-2220" height="315" sizes="(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px" src="http://www.stream-seo.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/facebook-viral-traffic-550x315.png" srcset="https://stream-seo.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/facebook-viral-traffic-550x315.png 550w, https://stream-seo.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/facebook-viral-traffic-400x229.png 400w, https://stream-seo.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/facebook-viral-traffic.png 902w" style="border-style: none; box-sizing: inherit; display: block; height: auto; margin: 0px auto 24px; max-width: 100%;" width="550" /></span></a></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Also, be sure to try this even if you’re on a tight budget because I’m going to show you how to earn money with CPA offers (no Adsense or CPC/CPM networks) and make a few extra thousands per month with paid traffic in my next’s week article <img alt="😉" class="emoji" draggable="false" src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/2.4/svg/1f609.svg" style="background-attachment: initial !important; background-clip: initial !important; background-image: none !important; background-origin: initial !important; background-position: initial !important; background-repeat: initial !important; background-size: initial !important; border: none !important; box-shadow: none !important; box-sizing: inherit; display: inline !important; height: 1em !important; margin: 0px 0.07em !important; max-width: 100%; padding: 0px !important; vertical-align: -0.1em !important; width: 1em !important;" /></span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Shall we start?</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">I’ll divide this in 3 steps. You need to rinse and repeat after analyzing your data. I’m glad most of it has been covered and you’ll see that it’s not as difficult as you think, but it takes some time and a good plan with a budget.</span></div>

</div>
</div>
<h2 style="box-sizing: inherit; font-size: 3rem; line-height: 1.2; margin: 30px 0px 10px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Step 1. Create a WordPress Blog</span></h2>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">This one is easy. If you’re struggling with this, leave a comment below so I can help you. but you can find almost everything in my blog in the <a href="http://www.stream-seo.com/wordpress-themes/" style="box-sizing: inherit; transition: all 0.1s ease-in-out;" target="_blank" title="Wordpress">WordPress Category</a>. I cover everything from setting a domain name, installing WordPress and even installing a theme. Again, just leave a comment below if you need help with any step. This shouldn’t take you more than 1-2 hours, if not less.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Don’t forget you need a <em style="box-sizing: inherit;">fast</em> VPS at least to make this work. Vultr has a<a href="http://www.vultr.com/?ref=6879905" style="box-sizing: inherit; transition: all 0.1s ease-in-out;" target="_blank"> $5 per month VPS</a> which outperforms many managed VPSes priced at $30+.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Now the key with Adsense is having great traffic and having a good CTR (Click trough rate). Since Adsense works on a CPC basis, the higher your CTR, the higher your earnings. Trust me, with the quantity of traffic you’re going to send to your blog, increasing your CTR from 3% to 5% could be the difference between $100 and $180 a day. So you NEED a good CTR.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">I’ve tested a lot of themes for this, and many of them don’t work. I’ve got my CTR above 10% some times when a story goes viral, but at least, I try to aim to anything above 5%. The theme I used for this and therefore I recommend is: <a href="http://www.wpzoom.com/members/go.php?r=10577&i=l94" style="box-sizing: inherit; transition: all 0.1s ease-in-out;" target="_blank" title="Morning">Morning Theme from WP Zoom</a>.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Unluckily, I can’t show you my detailed Adsense earnings because it’s against their TOS, but I promise you’ll have have a great CTR with that theme and you can add your banners with the <a href="http://www.stream-seo.com/how-to-add-google-adsense-to-wordpress/" style="box-sizing: inherit; transition: all 0.1s ease-in-out;" target="_blank" title="How to add Google Adsense to WordPress Blog">Quick Adsense plugin</a>.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">I recommend you to change your theme every 1-2 months to keep your CTR high. Some other great themes to start are the CTR Theme and the <a href="http://www.elegantthemes.com/affiliates/idevaffiliate.php?id=17731&url=15690" style="box-sizing: inherit; transition: all 0.1s ease-in-out;" target="_blank" title="Nexus Elegant Themes">Nexus theme from Elegant Themes</a>.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Having a mobile responsive theme is KEY, since many people will visit your website from FB for Android or iOS, and you want your Ads and videos to look fine there.</span></div>
<h2 style="box-sizing: inherit; font-size: 3rem; line-height: 1.2; margin: 30px 0px 10px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Step 2. Create a Facebook Fan Page and grow it</span></h2>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">I don’t need to write this whole process again because I wrote it a few months back and almost nothing has changed here. Basically, this is the same guide on steroids, so have a read on how to create a Facebook Fan Page and grow it super quick with Facebook Ads here: <a href="http://www.stream-seo.com/facebook-ads-niche-site/" style="box-sizing: inherit; transition: all 0.1s ease-in-out;" target="_blank" title="Facebook Ads and how I created a niche site with 900 visitors in 10 days">From 0 to 1,000 daily visitors in 10 days</a>.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">The process is basically the same, but this time you’ll create a Fan Page targeted to all people in a country who like viral stuff and cute/impressive stories. All of the Fan Pages I grew with Facebook Ads are quite active and have great reach.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">There are a few changes happening on Facebook lately, so in case you want to take advantage from them:</span></div>
<ul style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px 0px 28px 40px; padding: 0px;">
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; list-style-type: disc;"><span style="background-color: black; color: white;"><span style="box-sizing: inherit; font-weight: 700;">Use Facebook Newsfeed and Mobile Newsfeed Ads!</span> The volume there is super high compared to RHS (Right Hand Sided) Ads.</span></li>
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; list-style-type: disc;"><span style="background-color: black; color: white;"><span style="box-sizing: inherit; font-weight: 700;">Facebook is rolling out new, bigger RHS ads.</span> They’re bigger and probably a little bit more expensive than before, but the size difference between those and the newsfeed ads isn’t as big as before. You can drive a lot of new likes from RHS too, and the CTR will be high while the competition adapts (you might not even see those new ads yet). The only draw here is that RHS ads are displayed to desktop computers only, but hey, there’s volume on Facebook.</span></li>
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; list-style-type: disc;"><span style="background-color: black; color: white;"><span style="box-sizing: inherit; font-weight: 700;">Facebook now distributes your ad budget during the day</span>, no matter the time your upload it and get approved. This is super handy because if you start an Ad at 10pm with a budget of $10 per day, Facebook will only spend $1 between 10pm and midnight instead of eating $10 in 1-2 hours with shitty results.</span></li>
</ul>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">There you have it. Just copy the same strategy from my guide on how to go from <a href="http://www.stream-seo.com/facebook-ads-niche-site/" style="box-sizing: inherit; transition: all 0.1s ease-in-out;" target="_blank" title="Facebook Ads and how I created a niche site with 900 visitors in 10 days">0 to 1k daily visitors</a>and apply these new advantages. Since we’re going big, I’d recommend a daily ad budget of $10 to start, and then move to $20-30 per day if you can keep your CTR high and new likes coming.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">You’ll receive a lot of organic likes too, from people sharing, tagging and liking your posts on Facebook and other social networks. Those are free <img alt="🙂" class="emoji" draggable="false" src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/2.4/svg/1f642.svg" style="background-attachment: initial !important; background-clip: initial !important; background-image: none !important; background-origin: initial !important; background-position: initial !important; background-repeat: initial !important; background-size: initial !important; border: none !important; box-shadow: none !important; box-sizing: inherit; display: inline !important; height: 1em !important; margin: 0px 0.07em !important; max-width: 100%; padding: 0px !important; vertical-align: -0.1em !important; width: 1em !important;" /></span></div>
<h2 style="box-sizing: inherit; font-size: 3rem; line-height: 1.2; margin: 30px 0px 10px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Step 3. Write viral stories and publish them in your Fan Page</span></h2>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">This step is easy but takes time. Basically, you’re going to look for viral stories, news and trends and publish them in your blog. What I’d do is spy other competitors and check the stories they publish. Try websites like <a href="http://www.upworthy.com/" style="box-sizing: inherit; transition: all 0.1s ease-in-out;" target="_blank" title="Upworthy">upworthy</a> and <a href="http://www.viralnova.com/" style="box-sizing: inherit; transition: all 0.1s ease-in-out;" target="_blank" title="Viralnova">viralnova</a>.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Also, have a close eye on <a href="http://www.google.com/trends/" style="box-sizing: inherit; transition: all 0.1s ease-in-out;" target="_blank" title="Trends">Google trends</a>, as you can get a lot of traffic by being the first to write viral news in your website too.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<a href="http://www.stream-seo.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/facebook-viral-traffic-study.jpg" style="box-sizing: inherit; transition: all 0.1s ease-in-out;"><span style="background-color: black; color: white;"><img alt="facebook viral traffic study" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-2221" height="195" sizes="(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px" src="http://www.stream-seo.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/facebook-viral-traffic-study-550x195.jpg" srcset="https://stream-seo.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/facebook-viral-traffic-study-550x195.jpg 550w, https://stream-seo.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/facebook-viral-traffic-study-400x142.jpg 400w, https://stream-seo.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/facebook-viral-traffic-study.jpg 600w" style="border-style: none; box-sizing: inherit; display: block; height: auto; margin: 0px auto 24px; max-width: 100%;" width="550" /></span></a></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">You’re going to post links AND images every few hours, every single day. I recommend you to post between 3-5 links to your website (that means you ned to write 3-5 viral news PER DAY) and also post 3-5 images in between. The images can be part of viral stories, cute animals or impressive facts. They key is to keep your audience active and your Facebook reach high.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;"><span style="box-sizing: inherit; font-weight: 700;">Example:</span> 8am image, 10pm link to article 1, noon image, 2pm link to article 2, 4pm image, 6pm link to article 3, 8pm image, 10pm link to article 4.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;"><span style="box-sizing: inherit; font-weight: 700;">NEVER</span> copy & paste their articles into your website unless you want to get banned from Adsense. Rewrite the stories from your own point of view, ad videos or whatever you need, and always link to the sources. Otherwise you’ll have problems in the long run. Trust me.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Also, have a look at the placement and distributions of Ads in those websites, as you want to try the same to get a good CTR. I used to have 1-2 Squared Ads in the content, and a big skyscraper Ad in the sidebar. This is a formula that works well.</span></div>
<h2 style="box-sizing: inherit; font-size: 3rem; line-height: 1.2; margin: 30px 0px 10px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Step 4. Rinse, repeat and automate.</span></h2>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">You should be able to get everything started in 1-2 days if you focus and work fast. Again, let me know if you have any questions below. Depending on how good your stories are, and the budget you spend on Facebook Ads, you’ll start making some profit after a few days or weeks. The more budget, you spend the faster your Fan Page will grow and the more traffic you’ll send to your website. It’s pure mathematics.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">If you grow it big enough to make it a side business or even a full time job for you, then you might want to step it to the next level and automate everything. After all, we want to increase our ROI and still have time to enjoy with family and friends, don’t we?</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">So here’s what you can do:</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; box-sizing: inherit; font-weight: 700;"><span style="color: white;">Automate your Fan Page posts</span></span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">There are a lot of social media tools that allow you to schedule your posts on Twitter and Facebook (Buffer and Hootsuite, for example). Most of them actually hurt your reach, so don’t use those. Use <a href="http://trkur.com/tk?o=12626&p=145542&s1=ss&s2=fpt" style="box-sizing: inherit; transition: all 0.1s ease-in-out;" target="_blank" title="FPTraffic">FPTraffic</a>.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">FPTraffic is a great tool built by an Affiliate Manager from a CPA network and it works really well. You can schedule images (it has an integrated finder), posts, giveaways and more so you don’t need to be in front of your computer every 2 hours to post your article/image. In fact, you can schedule for many days in the future, so it’s perfect for this project.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">FPTraffic is a great tool even if you’re not doing this but you have a FB Fan Page for your blog/website. Also, there are guides on how to make money with Facebook Fanpages inside <a href="http://trkur.com/tk?o=12626&p=145542&s1=ss&s2=guides" style="box-sizing: inherit; transition: all 0.1s ease-in-out;" target="_blank" title="FPTraffic guides">FPTraffic</a> which alone are worth the price you pay for it. Grab it while you can and get a 50% lifetime discount before the price goes up from $10 per month to $20 per month. <a href="http://trkur.com/tk?o=12626&p=145542&s1=ss&s2=discount" style="box-sizing: inherit; transition: all 0.1s ease-in-out;" target="_blank" title="FPTraffic discount">Get your FPTraffic discount here</a>.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; box-sizing: inherit; font-weight: 700;"><span style="color: white;">Outsource your article writing</span></span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">This is something you might want to do after a few weeks or months. Make sure you understand the whole process and then you’ll be able to hire someone to do it for you.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">You have already automated your Facebook Fan Page, so you now need to automate your articles and the business will be 100% hands free.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;"><span style="box-sizing: inherit; font-weight: 700;">What I did:</span> I hired a content writer and payed him $3 for every post (300-400 words). Since I needed 3-5 posts per day that’s a total of $10-15. Once you start making money and driving a lot of traffic, $10-15 will be less than 10% of your earnings and you’ll be hands free for another business.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Looking for viral stories and videos can be tricky at first, so I looked for the stories and copied the links into a google drive shared document. I’d upload 5 new links every day so the writer could prepare the articles for the next day and publish them. It wasn’t 100% automated, but let’s say I had to spend less than 30 minutes per day in this business to earn $100-300 per day. I was happy with that <img alt="🙂" class="emoji" draggable="false" src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/2.4/svg/1f642.svg" style="background-attachment: initial !important; background-clip: initial !important; background-image: none !important; background-origin: initial !important; background-position: initial !important; background-repeat: initial !important; background-size: initial !important; border: none !important; box-shadow: none !important; box-sizing: inherit; display: inline !important; height: 1em !important; margin: 0px 0.07em !important; max-width: 100%; padding: 0px !important; vertical-align: -0.1em !important; width: 1em !important;" /></span></div>
<h2 style="box-sizing: inherit; font-size: 3rem; line-height: 1.2; margin: 30px 0px 10px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">There’s no magic formula</span></h2>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Most people try to look for a magic formula so they can earn money online on autopilot. They want to get free information and pay for a $19.99 Warrior Special Offer that shows them how to make $1,000 per day without doing anything.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; box-sizing: inherit; font-weight: 700;"><span style="color: white;">Well, that magic formula doesn’t exist.</span></span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">This is a business, and it requires work and focus, and you might fail a few times, but it will be worth it. Magic formula’s don’t exist, but systems do. And systems work if you’re good enough to analyze and improve your ROI.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">But I know most of you won’t be able to achieve this because you won’t take action. Taking action is the most important thing in this life. So bookmark this page or print it or take notes and start your website and Fan Page ASAP! You can do it in 1-3 days maximum and if you start buying likes in 3 days, you could be earning your first bucks by the end of the next week. What are you waiting for?</span></div>

<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 28px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">This is something that I’ll cover in a future article. As promised, I’m writing at least 1 article per week, so you’ll hear back from me pretty soon.</span></div>

<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">You want your website’s visitors to have the best experience possible, right?</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Well, then you better not keep them waiting. Slow-loading pages are one of the biggest frustrations people experience online.</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">In fact, having slow page loads can affect everything from how many people view your site and where you rank in Google to how likely people are to buy from you.</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">In other words, having a fast website is crazy-important.</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">But what can you do? You’re not a developer, so you don’t have the first clue how to speed up your site.</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">That’s where WP Super Cache comes in.</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">It’s a free plugin that can slash your page load times in half without the need for any special knowledge.</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Here’s how it works…</span><br />
<span style="background-color: black;"><span id="more-9655" style="color: white; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"></span></span></div>
<h2 style="font-family: "Titillium Web"; font-size: 1.6em; line-height: 1.25em !important; margin: 20px 0px 0.4em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">
How WP Super Cache Makes Your Website Faster</span></h2>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Before I explain how WP Super Cache works, you need to understand how WordPress serves your content to your visitors.</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">This will get a bit technical, but don’t worry, I’ll try to keep this as painless and human-friendly as possible. I know most of you aren’t developers. (And neither am I!)</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Here’s what goes on under the hood of your site:</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Whenever you get a visitor, WordPress builds the page through a number of processes which involve:</span></div>
<ul style="line-height: 23.744px; margin: 1em 0px 1.4em 44px; padding: 0px;">
<li style="margin: 0px 0px 0.5em; padding: 0px;"><span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Executing PHP (like the functionalities added by <a href="https://smartblogger.com/free-wordpress-themes/" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;" title="free wordpress themes">your theme</a> or <a href="https://smartblogger.com/wordpress-plugins/" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;" title="wordpress plugins">your WordPress plugins</a>)</span></li>
<li style="margin: 0px 0px 0.5em; padding: 0px;"><span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Querying your site’s database to retrieve content (like the text in your blog posts)</span></li>
</ul>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Normally, WordPress executes these processes <em style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">dynamically</em>.</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">That means WordPress has to execute all separate processes to load your website’s content <em style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">for each individual visit</em>.</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Now computers are fast these days, but this still takes time.</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">And your visitors can’t see your website until these processes are complete, which means they have to wait to start using your site (a.k.a. <em style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"><a href="https://smartblogger.com/site-speed/" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;" title="site speed">slow page load times</a></em> ).</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">That’s exactly the problem WP Super Cache fixes.</span></div>
<h3 style="font-family: "titillium web"; font-size: 1.45em; line-height: 1.25em; margin: 20px 0px 0.4em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">
WP Super Cache Turns Dynamic into Static to Speed Up Your Site</span></h3>
<hr class="style11" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: url("https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/dash.png"); background-origin: initial; background-position: 0px 0px; background-repeat: repeat-x; background-size: initial; border: 0px; clear: both; height: 6px;" />
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Using something called <em style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">page caching</em>, WP Super Cache stores a static HTML copy of your content for visitors to browse. Basically, it stores a copy of the <em style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">end result</em> of the dynamic process outlined above.</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">That way, your web server no longer needs to execute the PHP or query your database for each individual visitor.</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;"><strong style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Instead, it serves up the already-finished product</strong>.</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">And because your server has to do significantly less work, it loads the finished page much faster.</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Here, I’ll prove it…</span></div>
<h2 style="font-family: "Titillium Web"; font-size: 1.6em; line-height: 1.25em !important; margin: 20px 0px 0.4em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">
Putting WP Super Cache to the Test with Real Data</span></h2>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">For this tutorial, I’ll set up a test site and upload a full landing page so it seems “real.”</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Then I’ll use <a href="https://tools.pingdom.com/" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;" target="_blank">Pingdom’s Speed Test tool</a> to show how quickly my site loads <em style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">before </em>WP Super Cache is installed, and how quickly it loads after various steps in the configuration process. (I recommend you do the same when you install the plugin.)</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">That way, you’ll see exactly how much of an effect WP Super Cache has.</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Ready?</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Here’s the page load time <strong style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">before</strong> installing WP Super Cache:</span></div>
<div class="embedded-image" style="display: inline-block; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">
<div class="screenshot" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;"><img alt="Page load time before WP Super Cache" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-9657 lazy-loaded" data-lazy-type="image" data-src="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/001-page-load-time-before-wp-super-cache.jpg" data-srcset="" height="205" sizes="(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" src="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/001-page-load-time-before-wp-super-cache.jpg" srcset="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/001-page-load-time-before-wp-super-cache.jpg 700w, https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/001-page-load-time-before-wp-super-cache-300x88.jpg 300w" style="border: 2px solid rgb(235, 235, 235); box-sizing: border-box; height: auto; margin: 0px; max-width: 100%; opacity: 1; padding: 0px; transition: opacity 0.3s;" width="700" /></span></div>
</div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;"><strong style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">2.02 seconds</strong> isn’t horrible, but we can do a lot better!</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Let’s install WP Super Cache and see how fast we can get.</span></div>
<h2 style="font-family: "Titillium Web"; font-size: 1.6em; line-height: 1.25em !important; margin: 20px 0px 0.4em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">
Step #1: Install the WP Super Cache Plugin</span></h2>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;"><a href="https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-super-cache/" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;" target="_blank">WP Super Cache</a> is listed in the official WordPress.org plugin directory, which means that you can install it straight from your WordPress dashboard.</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">To do that, go to <strong style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Plugins → Add New</strong>. Then search for “WP Super Cache” and click the <strong style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Install Now</strong> button:</span></div>
<div class="embedded-image" style="display: inline-block; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">
<div class="screenshot" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;"><img alt="Search and Install WordPress WP Super Cache plugin" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-9658 lazy-loaded" data-lazy-type="image" data-src="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/002-search-install-wordpress-wp-super-cache-plugin.jpg" data-srcset="" height="365" sizes="(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" src="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/002-search-install-wordpress-wp-super-cache-plugin.jpg" srcset="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/002-search-install-wordpress-wp-super-cache-plugin.jpg 700w, https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/002-search-install-wordpress-wp-super-cache-plugin-300x156.jpg 300w" style="border: 2px solid rgb(235, 235, 235); box-sizing: border-box; height: auto; margin: 0px; max-width: 100%; opacity: 1; padding: 0px; transition: opacity 0.3s;" width="700" /></span></div>
</div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">After a few seconds, the <strong style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Install Now</strong> button should change to read <strong style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Activate</strong>. Click that <strong style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Activate</strong> button to make WP Super Cache active:</span></div>
<div class="embedded-image" style="display: inline-block; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">
<div class="screenshot" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;"><img alt="Activate WordPress Wp Super Cache plugin" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-9659 lazy-loaded" data-lazy-type="image" data-src="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/003-activate-wordpress-wp-super-cache-plugin.jpg" data-srcset="" height="315" sizes="(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" src="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/003-activate-wordpress-wp-super-cache-plugin.jpg" srcset="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/003-activate-wordpress-wp-super-cache-plugin.jpg 700w, https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/003-activate-wordpress-wp-super-cache-plugin-300x135.jpg 300w" style="border: 2px solid rgb(235, 235, 235); box-sizing: border-box; height: auto; margin: 0px; max-width: 100%; opacity: 1; padding: 0px; transition: opacity 0.3s;" width="700" /></span></div>
</div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Now the plugin is active on your site. But it’s still not working <em style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">quite just yet</em>.</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Here’s what to do next…</span></div>
<h2 style="font-family: "Titillium Web"; font-size: 1.6em; line-height: 1.25em !important; margin: 20px 0px 0.4em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">
Step #2: Turn On Basic Caching for an Instant 50% Reduction in Page Load Times</span></h2>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">One of the beautiful things about WP Super Cache is how easy it is to start using the plugin. All you need to do is click a button.</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Yes, really.</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">You can configure some of the advanced settings to optimize your load times further (which we’ll cover in a minute), but clicking that one button gives you the biggest speed boost.</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Here’s what you do:</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Go to <strong style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Settings → WP Super Cache </strong>in your WordPress dashboard.</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Then select the radio box for <strong style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Caching On</strong> and click <strong style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Update Status</strong>:</span></div>
<div class="embedded-image" style="display: inline-block; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">
<div class="screenshot" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;"><img alt="Turn on basic caching" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-9660 lazy-loaded" data-lazy-type="image" data-src="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/004-turn-on-basic-caching.jpg" data-srcset="" height="422" sizes="(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" src="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/004-turn-on-basic-caching.jpg" srcset="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/004-turn-on-basic-caching.jpg 700w, https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/004-turn-on-basic-caching-300x181.jpg 300w" style="border: 2px solid rgb(235, 235, 235); box-sizing: border-box; height: auto; margin: 0px; max-width: 100%; opacity: 1; padding: 0px; transition: opacity 0.3s;" width="700" /></span></div>
</div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">And just like that, you’ve activated basic page caching on your site. By itself, that should lead to a major speed improvement.</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">How major? Let’s find out!</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Here’s my page load time after clicking the button:</span></div>
<div class="embedded-image" style="display: inline-block; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">
<div class="screenshot" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;"><img alt="Page load time improved with WordPress WP Super Cache" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-9661 lazy-loaded" data-lazy-type="image" data-src="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/005-page-load-time-with-wordpress-wp-super-cache.jpg" data-srcset="" height="205" sizes="(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" src="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/005-page-load-time-with-wordpress-wp-super-cache.jpg" srcset="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/005-page-load-time-with-wordpress-wp-super-cache.jpg 700w, https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/005-page-load-time-with-wordpress-wp-super-cache-300x88.jpg 300w" style="border: 2px solid rgb(235, 235, 235); box-sizing: border-box; height: auto; margin: 0px; max-width: 100%; opacity: 1; padding: 0px; transition: opacity 0.3s;" width="700" /></span></div>
</div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;"><strong style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Now, my test site loads in just 883 milliseconds</strong>. (Remember, it was 2.02 seconds before.)</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Let me press a few buttons on my calculator, and…</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Yup, <strong style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">I cut more than half off my page load time</strong> with less than five minutes of work.</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Amazing, right?</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">But we’re not stopping there.</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Because WP Super Cache includes some advanced settings that can:</span></div>
<ol style="line-height: 23.744px; margin: 1em 0px 1.4em 44px; padding: 0px;">
<li style="margin: 0px 0px 0.5em; padding: 0px;"><span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Further speed up your site</span></li>
<li style="margin: 0px 0px 0.5em; padding: 0px;"><span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Prevent caching-related issues</span></li>
</ol>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">So let’s soldier on and configure some of these settings.</span></div>
<h2 style="font-family: "Titillium Web"; font-size: 1.6em; line-height: 1.25em !important; margin: 20px 0px 0.4em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">
Step #3: Configure Advanced Settings for an Even Bigger Speed Boost</span></h2>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">To get started, head to the <strong style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Advanced</strong> tab in the <strong style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">WP Super Cache Settings </strong>area:</span></div>
<div class="embedded-image" style="display: inline-block; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">
<div class="screenshot" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;"><img alt="Configure advanced settings - WordPress WP Super Cache" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-9662 lazy-loaded" data-lazy-type="image" data-src="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/006-configure-advanced-settings-wordpress-wp-super-cache.jpg" data-srcset="" height="288" sizes="(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" src="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/006-configure-advanced-settings-wordpress-wp-super-cache.jpg" srcset="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/006-configure-advanced-settings-wordpress-wp-super-cache.jpg 700w, https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/006-configure-advanced-settings-wordpress-wp-super-cache-300x123.jpg 300w" style="border: 2px solid rgb(235, 235, 235); box-sizing: border-box; height: auto; margin: 0px; max-width: 100%; opacity: 1; padding: 0px; transition: opacity 0.3s;" width="700" /></span></div>
</div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">To configure most of the advanced settings, you pretty much just need to check a box.</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Below, I’ll explain each box that I recommend you check, starting in the <strong style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Miscellaneous</strong> section.</span></div>
<h3 style="font-family: "titillium web"; font-size: 1.45em; line-height: 1.25em; margin: 20px 0px 0.4em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">
1.) Exclude Admin Accounts and Other Users from Caching</span></h3>
<hr class="style11" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: url("https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/dash.png"); background-origin: initial; background-position: 0px 0px; background-repeat: repeat-x; background-size: initial; border: 0px; clear: both; height: 6px;" />
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">This way, WordPress will still dynamically generate pages for people who are logged in.</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">One issue that arises from caching is that it takes around 30 minutes for changes you make to your site to go live. That means you’d have to wait 30 minutes before you can see the result of your changes. Obviously, this would be a pain.  </span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">That’s why you should check the box for <strong style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Don’t cache pages for known users </strong>and keep that from happening:</span></div>
<div class="embedded-image" style="display: inline-block; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">
<div class="screenshot" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;"><img alt="Don't cache pages for known users" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-9663 lazy-loaded" data-lazy-type="image" data-src="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/007-dont-cache-pages-for-known-users.jpg" data-srcset="" height="253" sizes="(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" src="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/007-dont-cache-pages-for-known-users.jpg" srcset="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/007-dont-cache-pages-for-known-users.jpg 700w, https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/007-dont-cache-pages-for-known-users-300x108.jpg 300w" style="border: 2px solid rgb(235, 235, 235); box-sizing: border-box; height: auto; margin: 0px; max-width: 100%; opacity: 1; padding: 0px; transition: opacity 0.3s;" width="700" /></span></div>
</div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">This way, WordPress will keep generating pages dynamically for logged-in users (i.e., you, the administrator).</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">You’ll always get the latest dynamically-generated version of your site, while anonymous users get the performance-optimized static version.</span></div>
<h3 style="font-family: "titillium web"; font-size: 1.45em; line-height: 1.25em; margin: 20px 0px 0.4em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">
2.) Enable GZIP Compression for Another Small Speed Boost</span></h3>
<hr class="style11" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: url("https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/dash.png"); background-origin: initial; background-position: 0px 0px; background-repeat: repeat-x; background-size: initial; border: 0px; clear: both; height: 6px;" />
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Next, you should check the box to <strong style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Compress pages so they’re served more quickly to visitors</strong>.</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Here’s what that does:</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">WP Super Cache will shrink (<em style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">compress</em>) the size of the static file that it generates <em style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">without affecting the file’s functionality</em>. Because the file size is smaller, your page will load a little bit faster:</span></div>
<div class="embedded-image" style="display: inline-block; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">
<div class="screenshot" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;"><img alt="" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-9664 lazy-loaded" data-lazy-type="image" data-src="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/008-compress-pages-serve-more-quickly-to-visitors.jpg" data-srcset="" height="257" sizes="(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" src="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/008-compress-pages-serve-more-quickly-to-visitors.jpg" srcset="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/008-compress-pages-serve-more-quickly-to-visitors.jpg 700w, https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/008-compress-pages-serve-more-quickly-to-visitors-300x110.jpg 300w" style="border: 2px solid rgb(235, 235, 235); box-sizing: border-box; height: auto; margin: 0px; max-width: 100%; opacity: 1; padding: 0px; transition: opacity 0.3s;" width="700" /></span></div>
</div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">How much quicker? After enabling this setting, my page load time shrunk a little more, down to <strong style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">837 milliseconds</strong>:</span></div>
<div class="embedded-image" style="display: inline-block; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">
<div class="screenshot" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;"><img alt="" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-9665 lazy-loaded" data-lazy-type="image" data-src="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/009-page-load-time-836-milleseconds.jpg" data-srcset="" height="203" sizes="(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" src="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/009-page-load-time-836-milleseconds.jpg" srcset="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/009-page-load-time-836-milleseconds.jpg 700w, https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/009-page-load-time-836-milleseconds-300x87.jpg 300w" style="border: 2px solid rgb(235, 235, 235); box-sizing: border-box; height: auto; margin: 0px; max-width: 100%; opacity: 1; padding: 0px; transition: opacity 0.3s;" width="700" /></span></div>
</div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">It’s definitely not as big a reduction as before. But when it comes to page load times, every bit counts!</span></div>
<div class="jbox gray" style="border-color: rgb(209, 209, 209); border-radius: 1px; border-style: solid; border-width: 1px; box-shadow: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.15) 2px 2px 4px; margin: 0.5em; padding: 9px 15px; text-shadow: none;">
<div class="jbox-content" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;"><strong style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Note:</strong> While I’ve never experienced any issues, this setting can cause problems with some hosts. For that reason, you should double-check your site’s functionality after enabling this setting.</span><br />
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
</div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">If you encounter any issues, you can just uncheck the box. While you’re missing out on a small speed boost, the difference is relatively negligible.</span></div>
</div>
</div>
<h3 style="font-family: "titillium web"; font-size: 1.45em; line-height: 1.25em; margin: 20px 0px 0.4em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">
3.) Enable Browser Caching to Eliminate Redundant Downloads</span></h3>
<hr class="style11" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: url("https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/dash.png"); background-origin: initial; background-position: 0px 0px; background-repeat: repeat-x; background-size: initial; border: 0px; clear: both; height: 6px;" />
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">So far, you’ve enabled WP Super Cache for <em style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">page caching</em>, but you should enable the plugin for <em style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">browser caching</em> as well. <strong style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">This can boost load times even further for recurring visitors.</strong></span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Here’s how it works:</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Browsers temporarily store files on each visitor’s computer. By enabling browser caching, you tell your visitor’s browser not to reload parts of your page that haven’t changed from their last visit. Instead, their browser will load the file from their computer, which is much faster than downloading it from your host server.</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">To enable this setting, check the box for <strong style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">304 Not Modified browser caching</strong>:</span></div>
<div class="embedded-image" style="display: inline-block; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">
<div class="screenshot" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;"><img alt="Not modified browser caching" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-9656 lazy-loaded" data-lazy-type="image" data-src="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/001-304-not-modified-browser-caching.jpg" data-srcset="" height="293" sizes="(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" src="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/001-304-not-modified-browser-caching.jpg" srcset="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/001-304-not-modified-browser-caching.jpg 700w, https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/001-304-not-modified-browser-caching-300x126.jpg 300w" style="border: 2px solid rgb(235, 235, 235); box-sizing: border-box; height: auto; margin: 0px; max-width: 100%; opacity: 1; padding: 0px; transition: opacity 0.3s;" width="700" /></span></div>
</div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Unfortunately, because Pingdom doesn’t store files the same way regular people’s computers do, I can’t show you how much this boosts performance.</span></div>
<h3 style="font-family: "titillium web"; font-size: 1.45em; line-height: 1.25em; margin: 20px 0px 0.4em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">
4.) Exclude Pages from Caching (If They Experience Issues)</span></h3>
<hr class="style11" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: url("https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/dash.png"); background-origin: initial; background-position: 0px 0px; background-repeat: repeat-x; background-size: initial; border: 0px; clear: both; height: 6px;" />
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Caching is unlikely to cause issues with 99% of your site. But it can happen, especially on any pages where you ask visitors to enter information in a form.</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">For example, I’ve personally had an issue where the contact form on my portfolio site wasn’t working due to my caching plugin. <em style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Yikes!</em></span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">This can directly lead to lost business, which is why you should test important pages on your site <em style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">as an anonymous user</em> after installation. (Remember, you just enabled the setting to exclude your WordPress account from seeing cached pages.)</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">How?</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Depending on your browser, open up a new window in <strong style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Incognito mode </strong>(Shift + Ctrl + N in Chrome or Opera) or <strong style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Private Browsing mode</strong> (Shift + Ctrl + P in Firefox or Internet Explorer) and test the page that way:</span></div>
<div class="embedded-image" style="display: inline-block; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">
<div class="screenshot" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;"><img alt="" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-9666 lazy-loaded" data-lazy-type="image" data-src="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/012-exclude-pages-from-caching-if-issues.jpg" data-srcset="" height="398" sizes="(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" src="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/012-exclude-pages-from-caching-if-issues.jpg" srcset="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/012-exclude-pages-from-caching-if-issues.jpg 700w, https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/012-exclude-pages-from-caching-if-issues-300x171.jpg 300w" style="border: 2px solid rgb(235, 235, 235); box-sizing: border-box; height: auto; margin: 0px; max-width: 100%; opacity: 1; padding: 0px; transition: opacity 0.3s;" width="700" /></span></div>
</div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">If you notice anything funky, you can manually exclude that page from being cached to avoid any issues.</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Just scroll down the Advanced Settings page until you reach <strong style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Accepted Filenames & Rejected URIs</strong>.</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">In the section that starts with <strong style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">“Add here strings (not a filename)”</strong>, enter the URL slug for the page that’s having issues.</span></div>
<div class="embedded-image" style="display: inline-block; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">
<div class="screenshot" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;"><img alt="" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-9667 lazy-loaded" data-lazy-type="image" data-src="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/013-accepted-filenames-and-rejected-urls.jpg" data-srcset="" height="428" sizes="(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" src="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/013-accepted-filenames-and-rejected-urls.jpg" srcset="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/013-accepted-filenames-and-rejected-urls.jpg 700w, https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/013-accepted-filenames-and-rejected-urls-300x183.jpg 300w" style="border: 2px solid rgb(235, 235, 235); box-sizing: border-box; height: auto; margin: 0px; max-width: 100%; opacity: 1; padding: 0px; transition: opacity 0.3s;" width="700" /></span></div>
</div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">In the example above, you can see that I’ve manually excluded my <em style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Contact Me</em>page.</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Not sure where to find the URL slug? Just go to the page with issues and copy the part that comes after the slash:</span></div>
<div class="embedded-image" style="display: inline-block; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">
<div class="screenshot" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;"><img alt="" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-9669 lazy-loaded" data-lazy-type="image" data-src="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/014-find-a-url-slug.jpg" data-srcset="" height="181" sizes="(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" src="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/014-find-a-url-slug.jpg" srcset="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/014-find-a-url-slug.jpg 700w, https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/014-find-a-url-slug-300x78.jpg 300w" style="border: 2px solid rgb(235, 235, 235); box-sizing: border-box; height: auto; margin: 0px; max-width: 100%; opacity: 1; padding: 0px; transition: opacity 0.3s;" width="700" /></span></div>
</div>
<h3 style="font-family: "titillium web"; font-size: 1.45em; line-height: 1.25em; margin: 20px 0px 0.4em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">
5.) Consider Using a CDN to Speed Things Up Even More</span></h3>
<hr class="style11" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: url("https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/dash.png"); background-origin: initial; background-position: 0px 0px; background-repeat: repeat-x; background-size: initial; border: 0px; clear: both; height: 6px;" />
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">You might not know this, but physical distance still has an effect on how quickly a website loads. (Curse you, laws of physics!)</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">So the farther away your visitor is from your host server, the slower your site will load — unless you use a CDN (a.k.a. Content Delivery Network).</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">When you use a CDN, you distribute copies of your site’s static files (like your images) to different servers around the world.</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">That way, your visitors can download these files from a location that’s close to them, instead of downloading them from your host server.</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">And WP Super Cache offers an option to install a CDN on the CDN tab:</span></div>
<div class="embedded-image" style="display: inline-block; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">
<div class="screenshot" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;"><img alt="Install a CDN with WP Super Cache" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-9670 lazy-loaded" data-lazy-type="image" data-src="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/015-install-a-cdn-with-wp-super-cache.jpg" data-srcset="" height="391" sizes="(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" src="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/015-install-a-cdn-with-wp-super-cache.jpg" srcset="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/015-install-a-cdn-with-wp-super-cache.jpg 700w, https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/015-install-a-cdn-with-wp-super-cache-300x168.jpg 300w" style="border: 2px solid rgb(235, 235, 235); box-sizing: border-box; height: auto; margin: 0px; max-width: 100%; opacity: 1; padding: 0px; transition: opacity 0.3s;" width="700" /></span></div>
</div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">But here’s the thing…</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">I recommend <em style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">not</em> using WP Super Cache for this, and using <a href="https://www.cloudflare.com/" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;" target="_blank">Cloudflare</a> instead.</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Cloudflare is a CDN that:</span></div>
<ul style="line-height: 23.744px; margin: 1em 0px 1.4em 44px; padding: 0px;">
<li style="margin: 0px 0px 0.5em; padding: 0px;"><span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Is easy to get started with</span></li>
<li style="margin: 0px 0px 0.5em; padding: 0px;"><span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Offers a free plan</span></li>
<li style="margin: 0px 0px 0.5em; padding: 0px;"><span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Includes security features to keep your site safe</span></li>
</ul>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">But you can’t use WP Super Cache to install Cloudflare. You install it by changing your nameservers. (<a href="https://jordonrupp.com/cloudflare-wordpress/" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;" target="_blank">Here’s a tutorial to get you started</a>.)</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;"><strong style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">So how much does a CDN like Cloudflare speed up your site, anyway?</strong> Once again, let’s see the data:</span></div>
<div class="embedded-image" style="display: inline-block; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">
<div class="screenshot" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;"><img alt="WP Super Cache + CDN can speed up your site" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-9671 lazy-loaded" data-lazy-type="image" data-src="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/016-a-cdn-can-speed-up-your-site.jpg" data-srcset="" height="204" sizes="(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" src="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/016-a-cdn-can-speed-up-your-site.jpg" srcset="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/016-a-cdn-can-speed-up-your-site.jpg 700w, https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/016-a-cdn-can-speed-up-your-site-300x87.jpg 300w" style="border: 2px solid rgb(235, 235, 235); box-sizing: border-box; height: auto; margin: 0px; max-width: 100%; opacity: 1; padding: 0px; transition: opacity 0.3s;" width="700" /></span></div>
</div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">You can see that my site now loads in <strong style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">824 milliseconds</strong>, which is another small improvement from the previous speed of 837 milliseconds.</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Now, that may not seem like much, but remember that the CDN’s purpose is to make your website fast for people <strong style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">around the globe</strong>.</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">So even though you only see a small speed improvement here, the improvement will likely be far greater for people visiting from Europe, Asia, or Australia.</span></div>
<h2 style="font-family: "Titillium Web"; font-size: 1.6em; line-height: 1.25em !important; margin: 20px 0px 0.4em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">
How to Manually Clear Your Cache (And Why This Is Important)</span></h2>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Almost finished!</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">There’s just one more thing I want to cover.</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">As I talked about earlier, caching can delay changes made to your site. But sometimes you’ll make a change to your site that you want to go live right away<em style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">for all users.</em></span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">You do this by manually clearing your cache.</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">This forces WP Super Cache to generate a new cache that incorporates your most recent changes.</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Here’s how to do it:</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Go to <strong style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Settings → WP Super Cache.</strong> Then click on the <strong style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Contents</strong> tab and choose <strong style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Delete Cache</strong>.</span></div>
<div class="embedded-image" style="display: inline-block; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">
<div class="screenshot" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;"><img alt="Manually clear your cache" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-9672 lazy-loaded" data-lazy-type="image" data-src="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/017-manually-clear-your-cache.jpg" data-srcset="" height="461" sizes="(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" src="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/017-manually-clear-your-cache.jpg" srcset="https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/017-manually-clear-your-cache.jpg 700w, https://smartblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/017-manually-clear-your-cache-300x198.jpg 300w" style="border: 2px solid rgb(235, 235, 235); box-sizing: border-box; height: auto; margin: 0px; max-width: 100%; opacity: 1; padding: 0px; transition: opacity 0.3s;" width="700" /></span></div>
</div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">And that’s all there is to it!</span></div>
<h2 style="font-family: "Titillium Web"; font-size: 1.6em; line-height: 1.25em !important; margin: 20px 0px 0.4em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">
Delight Your Readers with a Quick-Loading Website</span></h2>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Going forward, you’ll never need to worry whether your visitors are yelling at their computer screens, waiting for your website to load.</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Now you have the knowledge you need to ensure your website loads as quickly as it can, for everyone.</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">All that’s left to do is to put your knowledge into action.</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">Install the WP Super Cache plugin, click that button, and configure the advanced settings.</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.2em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">You’ll have a faster-loading website before you can finish a cup of coffee.</span></div>
